Overview

Our South African property portfolio (excluding V&A Waterfront) spans the Retail, Office and Industrial sectors. Key characteristics, as at 30 June 2011, include:

• A value of R32,5 billion and a GLA of 4.4 million m². Retail properties comprised 37% of the value, Office 42% and Industrial 21%, with most in Gauteng. The balance was located in the Western Cape, Kwazulu Natal, the Eastern Cape, and other provinces in South Africa and Namibia
• A Retail component of 49 properties in South Africa and two in Namibia, with a value of R12,0 billion and a GLA of 970 283m². Of the overall Growthpoint portfolio (including Australia and the V&A Waterfront), Retail made up 26% by value and 18% by GLA
• Within Office, 134 properties with a GLA of 1.18 million m² and a value of R13.7 billion. Overall (including Australia and the V&A Waterfront), Office accounted for 30% of our portfolio by value and 22% by GLA
• Industrial properties with a value of R6.8 billion and a GLA of 2.2 million m². Industrial made up 15% (value) and 41% (GLA) of our property portfolio (including Australia and the V&A Waterfront)
